Bobby Shmurda and Rowdy Rebel finally have a court date for their trial. It’s now been over four months since Bobby Shmurda, Rowdy Rebel and 11 other members of GS9 were arrested and charged with over 100 crimes, ranging from conspiracy to drug possession. Since that time, each member has been in Riker’s Island on $2 million bail apiece, awaiting trial. Today, a date was finally set. Shmurda, Rebel and their associates will officially stand trial on June 25th. Earlier yesterday, they appeared at the Manhattan Supreme Court to get their date and request evidence. Afterwards, Shmurda’s lawyer Kenneth Montgomery told XXL: “What I would want is some reasonableness to take place and that this young man can be given a reasonable bail and get out, but I know what we’re up against. We’re not up against reason. We’re up against the rule of law.”
